The Chihuahua became my first and only breed of choice in 2010, when I decided to welcome a loyal companion into my life. It’s the perfect breed for apartment living — especially in the city — always by your side, yet discreet and elegant.
My first dog, Montana, felt lonely during my long hours at work, so I decided to find her a friend. Together, we dove into the fascinating world of Chihuahuas and soon became regular participants at international dog shows. It was there that I truly discovered the depth, nuances, and magic of this incredible breed.
Over the years, I developed a clear vision of the kind of Chihuahua I wanted by my side — a true everyday companion, a loyal friend. That desire has shaped my path and deeply influenced the choices I’ve made ever since.
In 2011, I officially founded Lookum Kennel in Ukraine, driven by a simple yet heartfelt dream: to share my love for these incredible dogs with the world.
Until 2020, I ran the kennel on my own — until life surprised me in the best way. In 2019, at a veterinary conference where he was a speaker, I met Andrea, who would become my husband. That meeting changed everything. We became a family, and together we turned our shared passion for dogs into a life project. We became co-owners of Lookum Kennel — and that’s when our true adventure began.
